How the study of fascial anatomy through embodiment can benefit your practice?

New Moving Fascia® Foundations online course, exploring fascial anatomy for movement teachers and bodyworkers

Enrolment opens 25th October 2019

Moving Fascia® explores fascial anatomy through theory, embodiment, self-release and movement techniques. Moving Fascia® creator, Ana Barretxeguren, Principal Educator at Evolve Movement Education, has developed this course through self-enquiry, her passion for anatomy and her extensive work helping people recover from injury. Her understanding and appreciation of movement has been further driven by her experience of living with Catamenial Pneumothorax, a rare condition where a woman suffers repeated lung collapses during menstruation.

“The exploration of the breath is never more necessary or vivid when faced with a life threatening event. This cyclical struggle keeps me focused on breathing, being reminded to exploring, researching and tuning into the viscera through breath and movement.”
Ana Barretxeguren, Principal Educator

Ana is very passionate about sharing her unique approach to movement from the prospective of fascial anatomy and is currently running courses and workshops online and in person from Brighton and London.

For the first time, she is now taking this work online and launching it as an online course for yoga teachers to access anywhere in the world, from the comfort of their own home or studio.

“I believe that a deeper understanding of the behaviour of connective tissue, a knowledge of anatomy and awareness of the visceral space can deeply inform and enhance the practice of a yoga teacher.”
Ana Barretxeguren, Principal Educator

The course is packed with self-myofascial release techniques, movement and embodiment tools informed by anatomical research, her extensive career as a Pilates teacher, myofascial release and visceral manipulation therapist.

Evolve Movement Education will launch enrolment for Moving Fascia® Foundations online course on Friday 25th October with the course commencing on the 4th November. This course is a brilliant introduction to fascia for the movement teacher and bodyworker, with a high percentage of theory as well as practical application for home and in the studio. The course is delivered over a 4 week period, with new video and downloadable content becoming available each week as well as support within an online Facebook group where members can ask questions and share experiences.
