All classes / lectures are free on a first come first served basis, please arrive at the class / lecture areas 10 minutes prior to the start time and please remember to bring your mat for open all yoga class areas.
With one in two of us being diagnosed with Cancer in our lifetime, its more important than ever that we arm ourselves with the tools to minimise symptoms of the disease, manage side effects of the treatments and be in the strongest position to have the best possible outcome. Studies have proven that exercising during treatment improves recovery and even the effectiveness of treatment. During my treatment, Yoga was my absolute lifetime both mentally and physically. Thank goodness I had my knowledge as a Yoga Teacher to help me at a really tricky time. Recovering from surgery alone can be really tricky, so the aim of this style of Yoga is to work to put you in the best mind space for healing and give you the ability to work on your symptoms and side effects, which can sometimes be long lasting and life changing. We look at on going issues like lymphedema, peripheral neuropathy, medical menopause and fatigue, as well as the more immediate concerns you may have. Supporting someone during their treatment? We know it can be stressful for you too so why no come along for some relaxation and gentle Yoga and learn some tips to proactively support your loved one.
