2024 Dora Kisyakova 400x400

Dora Kisyakova

I am a daughter, a mother, a wife, a friend and a colleague living with Rheumatoid Arthritis since 2013. I know the pain and discomfort of living with restricted movement in your joints and understand the desire to recover – this was what led me on my journey into yoga teaching.

Practising for over 16 years, I started my teaching journey in 2019 with a BWY Foundation Course and closely followed by Yoga Teacher Training in 2019.

I am fascinated by the human body, its anatomy and function, the interplay between the body and mind. I teach in a way that encourages students to focus on deepening physical awareness and alignment, to reveal and release the natural freedom of the body, particularly the spine. My intention in teaching is to create space within the joints, allowing more body fluid to enter between the layers of tissues, improving the elasticity of the mussels and the Fascia.

Inspired by my teachers, the approach of Vanda Scaravelli and personal experience of the healing effects of yoga practice, I aim to make yoga accessible to everyone.
